Our Studio has been providing piano and music instruction since 1990. April Barton, Director and principle teacher, is a member of Music Teacher’s National Association (MTNA) and Early Childhood Music and Movement Association (ECMMA). Our students participate in a wide variety of activities within these organizations, including Evaluations, the Studio Festival and various recitals and performances.
The Studio provides comprehensive curriculum in a learning environment. Our goal is to teach students how to learn and develop self-direction, initiative, exploration, creativity and respect by introducing possibilities and opportunities.
Music lessons should be fun. They are a privilege, not a punishment or a requirement. If we are not having fun, something is wrong. Piano study isn’t always going to be easy, but it always should be satisfying. Attempting is often more important than succeeding. Students need to explore the possibilities.
The Studio is actively involved in the communities. The Studio has supported the American Youth Soccer Organization, Local High School Baseball and has adopted animals at Big Bear Alpine Zoo. Striving to make communities a better place.
